Early careers for less experienced surveyors

Property Health Check Ltd is a growing and ambitious, professional building surveying company that provides bespoke professional services to clients in both the public and private sector within Ireland.

The ideal candidate will hold relevant qualifications and have a couple of years of experience on building sites. The work will primarily be site based and carried out in accordance with the company’s procedures.

Career opportunities

Our building surveying positions are primarily site based, unless a candidate can bring additional skills and experience that are not part of our core service offerings that necessitates that certain works need to be carried out in an office environment.


Depending on the experience and skill levels of a potential employee, it would be expected that a qualified candidate would need to undertake two to four months of initial training including shadowing existing surveyors before they would be able to undertake any work on their own.


Our surveyors and engineers do work hard including participating in ongoing in-house training webinars, however post training our surveyors earn significantly more than the industry average.


We also supply a company vehicle, computer, mobile phone and relevant equipment post training.

To facilitate the continued expansion of our practice, we are always on the lookout for talented, keen, candidates.  We have a full time building surveying positions available for application.

In-house training

Property Health Check provides vital expert training to its employees, and it is this that makes us stand out as a building surveyor employer. Junior surveyors are teamed up with a senior surveyor who provides supervisory support. We have a long-standing practice of giving junior surveyors direct exposure to clients at an early stage in their career, thus providing increased responsibility as part of their development.  Due to the support and training provided this responsibility can be undertaken confidently, which enables the surveyor to grow into their role safely and competently.

Our surveyors are supported by a comprehensive training and development programme and appropriate supervision. We encourage and provide our employees with the space to develop creatively through independent thinking, hard work and by taking ownership of their projects.

Key Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • A full clean driving licence will be required. A company vehicle will be provided post training.
